NSA North Sheep 2025

The National Sheep Association (NSA) has announced that NSA North Sheep, will take place Wednesday June 4 2025. The event will be hosted by John & Liz Peile and their family, at their Greystoke Castle Farm, Greystoke, Penrith in Cumbria. As one of the UK sheep industry’s main events it is expected to attract thousands of farmers from around the UK. It is organised by the Northern Regional Committee of the NSA and takes in the counties of Cumbria, County Durham, Humberside, Lancashire, Northumberland and North and West Yorkshire. The event will be a tremendous showcase of the UK sheep industry. Hundreds of trade stands will be in attendance alongside breed societies and individual breeders. North Sheep will give farmers and trade a huge opportunity to network, catch up and build relationships. Seminars and demonstrations throughout the day will offer insights on new developments within the industry and advice from industry professionals. Farm tours will offer a unique opportunity to see how the Peile family manage the quality livestock and extensive, diverse grazing land at their family run farm, with the added bonus of the stunning views stretching out over the Eden Valley. NSA Sheep South West 2025

Hosted by the Stanbury family, NSA Sheep South West will take place on Wednesday, June 25, at Weston Farm, East Knowstone, South Molton, Devon, EX36 4ED. Visitors to the event will be able to enjoy a tour of the family’s beef and sheep enterprise that has grown to 500 acres, plus additional rented and common grazing. The farm currently lambs 980 ewes plus ewe lambs outside in April and is upping sheep numbers. The current flock includes some North Country and Suffolk Mules, put to Texel tups, but the predominant breeds are now Romneys. The farm is also venturing into wool shedding breeds with Easycare and Exlana ewes. All sheep are finished off on grass and herbal leys with the majority of sheep (and cattle) overwintered outside. In addition to the sheep flock, the farm has 145 spring calving suckler cows, mostly native breeds, and is home to the Knowstone pedigree herd of Red Ruby Devon cattle. Learn about the event
